  1. I like the repetition of the sailboat one, but the focus is a little off and grainy. I want to see a picture of those boats from the side instead of from on the duckboat [very dangerous :O ] The last texture picture came off very dark and I wish you would have played with the brightness a little bit. The duck pictures could have used a faster shutter speed. The leaf picture is interesting, it's my favorite

  2. The thing that stood out to me the most was the blurriness in your 3rd picture and as Davis mentioned it can be fixed by using a faster shutter speed. Something I noticed in your top 10 this week is that many of your subjects are centered, I would recommend experimenting with positioning. In your contact sheets I saw a few that did but I'd like to see more.

  3. The photo of just the water is my favorite but it could be a lot stronger if the contrast was higher and therefore a greater variety in value range. The other photos don't grab my attention very much because I find them either too busy or lacking an intriguing subject matter.

  4. The sailboat photo is really strong. The photo of the bird flying is a little blurry, which makes it hard to focus on.

  5. The composition of the 6th photo can improve if the boat is a bit downward because it is kind of blending into the trees, and the 5th picture looks like a snapshot to me. However, the picture of the water interests me a lot.

  6. the picture of the water is lovely but a bit more of contrast is needed. I've seen a million shots of tree barks so I really would like to it shot in a more interesting way.

  7. The 3rd image is so close to being a panning shot (!)

I think you might've captured your shadow in your 5th image haha, be careful with that when the sun's at your back/while shooting at certain times of day.

Horizontal shots are definitely level, and the repetition/deep depth of field/contrasting values in image one is really great. I'm biased for rule of thirds so I'm always compelled to not center my subjects, but I like the double symmetry you have in image 6 which only could've happened with a centered focus - good job with that and keeping your camera level omg

  8. I can see that you tried using an outdoorsy trip to your advantage and take new photos, but I can't help but feel like most of these just look like snapshots. I think your most artistic image is the first with the repetition of the boats and the rich contrast, and your second to last image has interesting symmetry.

  9. I think the sailboat picture is a little off - maybe from too much contrast and slightly out of focus. I appreciate what you tried to do with capturing the bird in the third photo, but my eyes immediately go to the unfocused background and not the small bird. I think the photo would have been strong if the bird was bigger. I like that you tried to focus on texture in the last few of your photos. The flower photo seems a little grainy to me. I think you were successful with leveling your horizon, which is important when shooting with water and land. You work a lot with the subject in the center, seeing more of a variety with asymmetry would have been nice!

  10. These all have interesting subject matter in them! I especially like the photographs of water in them. I think the bird images aren't very strong, even in the panning one. You're too far from them to take a really interesting photo that engages the viewer. :(
