Olivia Onate Week 7

I was very busy this week with projects and didn't have time to take 200 images. These are from previous weeks that I didn't use.

  1. These are very crisp and show a wide variety of dark and light. Your 7th image's composition is off by the tilt of the camera and lack of balance.

  2. The leaves in the forth one show the light, but I think the background is too complex. It will be bette if you would have taken the photo from another side, so the other trees would not affect the background.

  3. I love the mysterious orb (fruit?) but the cars take me out of whatever I was reading from the orb in the first place. Photography creates different worlds and that picture had the promise to go somewhere else but it didn't.

  4. The lighting in most of your photos is nice. Some may be a little too bright but not enough to bother me. I agree with Davis that the ball loses its quality because of the cars in the background. That same problem is present in the photo of the dog. Your last 2 compositions are excellent.

  5. I really liked your photos this week! I agree with the previous comments that the picture of the ball isn't as successful as it could be because of the cars in the background. Photos 8 and 9 could be a little too bright, and even maybe the first photo. Overall, i liked the composition of your photos.

  6. The thing that stood out to me the most was that your 8th photo and some others are a little bright and may need to be toned down. Besides that I think you did a good job with composition this week.

  7. My favorite photo is the fifth one, since the windows on the building are all repetitive while there are one totally different sticking out. Your first and fourth picture of plants are not quite as well done as the eighth and the ninth one, because they are not too intentionally taken and were taken too casually.

  8. I think your fifth image has the potential to be more engaging if taken at different angles; the current one displays repetition if only because the building naturally is the way it is, an angle that can emphasize this quality would make for a more assertive and self-aware image. The third and last three images are lovely imo, they hint at pattern in organic subjects (some more than others) though that correlation isn't strong enough for me to assert that that was the intent.

  9. Compared to your other photos of plants, your fourth photo doesn't really catch my attention.

  10. The texture you captured is really striking. Some of the images lack contrast, which makes them appear washed out. Focusing on contrast would make those images stronger.
