  1. I really appreciate the professionalism of these photos - the lighting, the clothing, and the overall studio feel. You were also able to capture the subject in over 200 images without being repetitive, using the models body to manipulate lighting like in the 9th and 10th images. Some, however, seem just a little too dull grey, which can be fixed with either more lighting or editing in photoshop.

  2. I can see that your photos are taken intentionally from the clothing and the accessories of your model. And your photos are like a series of fashion photography for a celebrity (probably because your model's hair reminds me of Justin Timberlake) for magazines. Overall your photos could be more interesting if you pay more attention to the relationship between your model and the shadows he casted on the white background.

  3. This images are super fun. I think it's great that you were deliberate about the clothing and your background. The 9th image is compositionally interesting because it is symmetric with two reflecting shadows in each side. I would have dodge the shadows a little bit to make them more apparent. My favorite photo is your 8th image, I think you capture this persona's personality perfectly and compositionally you are using the rule of thirds and you created a nice balance by having his upper body on the right and the leg on the bottom left.

  4. These are really fun! I think you put a lot of thought into the details of your photo such as what he was wearing and how his poses reflect his overall aesthetic. It was really great to see you switch up what you normally shoot for portraiture, and I think you really rocked it. I agree with Catherine that some of the images are pretty repetitive. I think you could've played more around with the lighting to create so cool shadows, and I also think a few of the photos were shot a little too far away.

  5. The ideas and the design of your photos are awesome and professional. However, your photos, especially the last three, would be more intriguing if you would captured the clear and dark shadow of the model.

  6. It's obvious all of these had a lot of thought and effort put into them, they look like a fashion shoot! Looking at your contact sheet, it looks like your set up could use a little more lighting, but you made up for it in editing. I think the vignette on your photos is a little distracting, but that might be a personal preference. Overall, these are really fun photos with a lot of thought!

  7. My first thought after looking at these is, "dang why aren't any of them shot in portrait and not landscape?" I feel like they could have been more successful if they were tighter on the subject and not so much wall space. However, your intentions were great, as previously mentioned. They have a studio vibe which is cool but I wish you experimented more with capturing unique angles. Right now it feels like you had a friend do random poses on the wall while you snapped some pictures all with the same size frame.

  8. It feels like a photo shoot for a fashion magazine, which isn't bad, but also doesn't communicate the up close nature that a portrait is supposed to convey. The vignette on the edges also makes the images feel far away and intangible which doesn't communicate the intimacy of a portrait.
