  1. I love the ambiguity of the images with plants on body parts. There's a really beautiful parallel between the life of the plant and the life of the body. That being said, I don't find the image of just plants and grass as engaging because I know you're capable of creating stories out of your images.

  2. As Jenna mentioned, maybe you are expressing some ideas through your photos, but it's hard for me to get it clearly. Some of the elements in the photos are interesting, especially the lines in image 9.

  3. Catherine,
Your images last week were spectacular!!! That being said, I definitely had high expectations for this week, and even though they were not met, I can appreciate the attempt. I may be making a stretch but I see a relationship between the lines of the skin and the veins of the leaf? If that is the case then its not very clear. I enjoy your interest in skin, but the parallels between 2 subjects/elements needs to be clearer. I am ignoring images 10, 9 and 7. You know why... (inserts stare emogi here). I must say that technically, your images are lovely and the sense of warm luscious sunlight is so apparent in your images that it bridges the gap of the fact that your pictures are in black and white and the idea of warmth is based on color. That is a credit to your technique that I am obliged to give.

  4. I'd like to see you push this plants and the human body aesthetic and find plants that mirror body parts. A circular leaf next to an eye, maybe a message about forestation and "mother" nature or something like that.

  5. I really appreciate your use of light in your photos. Throughout this semester, I really have gotten a sense of what you like to photograph and who you are as a photographer. I think you do beautiful work when you combine natural elements (fruit and flowers) with the body because you capture such unique perspectives. Like the previous comments, there are some photos that aren't as interesting as they could be.

  6. I think your idea of interaction of plants and skin is very interesting. And it seems like plants with darker colors (aka the one in picture 2,3,6) work better than the ones with lighter colors (the first picture) since the white flower is blending into the pale skin. But the way you composite the first photo is still my favorite that using skin to be the background of a photo shoot for a plant.

  7. I enjoy your use of natural light and how it brings softness to your images. I like the contrast created by the texture of the plans and the lightness of the skin but I think you can take your composition a bit further to make the relationship between the plants and skin stand out more.

  8. The flowers on skin is a very interesting concept--I especially like how we can't clearly recognize which part of the body they're on. That said I don't think the concept if quite as interesting as ones you've had previous weeks. Your use of lighting is very nice.
