For this shoot I wanted to experiment with which direction to take my concept in and explore the imagery I had in my mind. I used a pool as a way to capture what I had in mind without having to go too far. Ideally I'd be using another body of water. I had a thought of possibly taking this type of imagery and photoshopping it with an other environment. As of right now I am leaning against it as it will be very time consuming and will not guarantee the results I want. I am finding it difficult to capture my concept so I am considering changing/altering it, although I'd still like to use water. Your feedback is appreciated. Sincerely, Michael.

this one was candid so sorry about the smile
I personally like the ones you shot at night best i think it creates higher contrast and can add something to your Floridian story. My favorite photo was the 9th one. I think the small ripples make your composition more interesting and in a subtle way allows the viewer to know that the hands are under water. Also, your use of light marks a nice contrast between the two hands.
I agree with Valentina, I like the ones at night shot better. Maybe you can try to bring a light source like a lamp (sometimes there are plugs around the poolside). I think that one thing that would help with your photos is to consider that your model is wearing. You could even have her makeup done - if you're trying to get a creepy vibe you could have her eyeliner/mascara running down. With the 13th image, just be really careful with the line that is in the background, it's slightly distracting. Overall, i think you are onto something. Keep playing with the different angles and perspective. Maybe you could add another model, and have them interact in the water.
I think your third image is very strong - the way her hair makes a shape that frames her face and her eyes are a very intense focal point. I also think the second image would be really good for your final image, as it contrasts against your other images but is still visually cohesive enough.
I agree with the comments about the photos at night being stronger. They feel more crisp. After scrolling through these I'm not feeling the story you presented in class. I think your concept is great and can be really powerful if executed properly. Right now it's just a girl floating in water. But if you bring in everyday objects then you have a narrative about Florida becoming underwater. Angelica made a good point about the clothing and makeup. You really want to emphasize the fact that the person wasn't prepared to be submerged. I can see a really strong composition being the girl in nice clothes, eating a bowl of food on the surface of the water as if it was a table. The incorporation of everyday objects for your subject to perform everyday tasks would send a much clearer message.
I do like the higher contrast, those really push the images. Bring in props, throw a toy alligator in there or a pool float shaped like the state, have the model interact with oranges or make her cling to plastic pool flamingos.
i think your photos this week came out different from what the concept you talked about in class let me imagined. I also think the concept we talked about in class will be very interested if you successfully illustrate them with your photos. The three photos of hands let me think of letting your model hold something and the photos of feet in your contact sheets let me think of letting your model wear shoes/sock, then your photos will be more successful in narrative and tell more stories.
The ones taken at night have some really amazing lighting! Personally I'm a little distracted by the panda on her shirt; I think something all one color (or maybe even a pattern like stripes?) might suit the imagery better.
